Characterization of Drugs and Active Ingredients

The constant research for new drugs and active ingredients requires careful characterization of there products to asses their bioavailability, effectiveness and safety.

The products in this section are primarily for clients seeking the best techniques to characterize drugs with optimal bioavailability of active ingredients.

From studying how pharmaceutical forms affect the biological activity of an active ingredient to examining the relationship between form and bioavailability, the instruments offered in this area are designed to asses the interaction of active ingredients with an organism.

Wyatt Technology

Universally recognized as the father of the Mals Wyatt technique has a wide range of detectors for SEC that can provide complete characterization of “absolute” particle macromolecules in terms of molecular weight, size and conformation in solution, without the need for standards and calibration curves. The range of detectors is completed with the Viscostar (differential viscometer) and Optilab (differential refractometer) for complete chemical-physical characterization of proteins, aggregates, MAb, ADCs etc. The line of instruments for DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering) measurements of Rh, interactions, etc. is completed by the Mobius for measuring Z potential and the Calypso for studying interactions.
Eclipse systems based on Field Flow Fractionation complete the range of products provided by Wyatt.

Nanotemper

The company specializes in instrumentation dedicated to the study and characterization of proteins. Knowing the quality of proteins in advance helps to understand whether they are functional, similar to a previously produced batch, or stored properly. With a quick measurement we have a lot of information about the state of the protein, which allows us to increase the probability of success in our research.

Sepax is a major U.S. manufacturer specializing in the production of Chromatographic Columns for protein analysis and purification, aimed particularly at SEC methods, Ion Exchange, Hydrophobic Interaction, columns for Monoclonal Antibody analysis, etc.
